![]() I just noticed in the pics above, the OEM seems to be tapered to reduce blockage. Modern cars usually have visibility problem due to the wider A pillar (air bag) and this thing make it worst. I am more concerned about my wife and kids driving the car. I was about to take off mine and dump it but decided to trim the lower corner so I have a little open gap to see. For the OB and me, it was bad enough that I had to lean forward and the right during the left turn to make sure I see the peds and the raised median. The height of the car and your height and position of the seat has something to do with it so each car is different. In the past, I always looked or bought no tint or light tint. For some reasons, the primary color is always dark tint and this one I bought comes in only this color. I knew there was a reason I hesitated to buy these things. Yes it does block the view when you make a left turn and to me, it can be dangerous. ![]() So pleased with my choice.Ĭlick to expand.Good thing you ask. As soon as I figure out how to post pictures, I'll post them so you can see. So just make sure you get the OEMs They look so much better too. Also the Moonroof deflector(OEM) was quiet too. On the way home with the OEMs installed I didn't hear anything, even with the window cracked open. Anyways I took my test drive with the aftermarkets on, and they did whistle a bit. This dealership(Bertera Subaru of Hartford) is great. So they ripped off the aftermarkets and installed the OEMs at no charge to me. By the time I got done with my paperwork and Nav training the driver had arrived. They had them in stock, so he was sending the OEM deflectors up with the driver. He then told me that they were doing a car swap from a dealer in New York who only get their parts from Subaru of America. And he explained to me that because they are Subaru of New England, they sometimes buy aftermarket accessories. Update! I called my salesman today about the after market window deflectors, he said he would look into why they didn't install the OEM ones. ![]()
